Routine
The appointments most people need

Examination
Twenty minutes. Teeth, gums, and the soft tissue nobody thinks about. You leave knowing exactly what, if anything, needs doing.

Scale & polish
The hygiene appointment. Removes what brushing cannot reach, and is the cheapest thing you can do for your teeth.

Fillings
Tooth-coloured and matched to the teeth either side. Numbed properly first, every time.

Extractions
When a tooth cannot be saved. A patient described theirs as quick and painless, on the day it happened.

Children
First visits kept short and deliberately boring, so the dentist never becomes a place where something bad happened.

Emergencies
Pain, swelling, a broken tooth. Ring the practice; the out-of-hours number is on the sign and in the footer below.
Behind the glass
Two surgeries, in a house, on a residential road.
There is no atrium and no coffee machine. What there is, is a team that has worked together long enough to know how you like it done, and appointments that are not stacked so tightly that yours has to be rushed.

Restorative & cosmetic
Longer work, done properly

Crowns
For a tooth too broken down to fill. Shaped, fitted, then adjusted until you stop noticing it is there.

Bridges
Fills a gap using the teeth either side, without anything that comes out at night.

Dentures
Full or partial. The fitting appointments matter more than the making, so we do not rush them.

Tooth whitening
Supervised and gradual. A whitening centre, not a counter selling kits. Enamel is not something you get back.

Root canal
The treatment with the worst reputation and, under proper anaesthetic, not much worse than a filling.

Home visits
For patients who genuinely cannot get to York Road. Ring and ask — it is a real service, not a formality.
NHS or private
Which one you want depends on the tooth.
NHS dentistry covers what is needed to keep you healthy and out of pain. Private covers the same work plus the choices: the material, the appointment length, the finish.
For a back tooth nobody sees, the NHS option is usually the sensible one, and we will say so. Ask us before you decide, not after.
